Donald Trump recently announced that Bret Michaels will be co-hosting the 2010 Miss Universe Pageant with Natalie Morales in Las Vegas. He said in a statement “It doesn’t get hotter than being in Las Vegas during the month of August. Add more than 80 of the world’s most beautiful women converging to compete for the crown of Miss Universe…Las Vegas is going to be scorching hot!” I’m not sure how this is going to turn out, but even Bret has to admit that he’s definitely moved up in the world since the rock singer is a little more used to ‘Rock of Love’ caliber ladies.
Pink attended Bette Midler’s Las Vegas revue, ‘The Showgirl Must Go On’, at Caesars Palace with her hubby Carey Hart recently and gave a huge surprise to both the audience and the star of the show herself. The pop rock singer came out on stage in the middle of Bette’s performance and the two sang an impromptu duet of ‘The Rose’. Wow! That was a duet of epic proportions! I wonder if anyone was able to film a video of the surprise. I would definitely like to see that one. I didn’t even know that Pink was a Bette fan.

It looks like Steve Wynn really knew what he was doing when he offered Garth Brooks a place to perform at the Wynn in Las Vegas… and a personal jet. The singer’s first twenty shows sold-out in five hours at 125 dollars per ticket with no extra charges. Every singer is probably wishing they will be able to have as successful a return from retirement as Garth Brooks apparently has. Now all that remains to be seen is how he will do in his first show back… hopefully the strings from his guitar aren’t as rusty as one might expect. If they are, Steve Wynn is probably the one that’s going to get it.
Singer Christina Milian secretly married music producer The Dream in Las Vegas last month. It was later revealed that Christina was pregnant – which should explain the quickie wedding. But it seems that the couple wants to have something formal now as they are said to be planning a larger wedding which will include family and friends. The two were even spotted at a local LA bakery for a private wedding cake tasting. I have to ask though – what was the point of having the quickie wedding if they’re planning to have a large wedding soon after? I sure hope that baby turns our smarter than its parents.
The DEA and other law enforcement officials searched the Las Vegas home of Dr. Conrad Murray last week. They had a search warrant in hand for Michael Jackson’s medical records. The late King of Pop’s shady doctor’s lawyer released a statement regarding the search saying “We can verify that at approximately 8am, Officers from DEA, LAPD and various local agencies began executing a search warrant at Dr. Conrad Murray’s Las Vegas home and office. The search warrant authorized investigators to look for medical records relating to Michael Jackson and all of his reported aliases. Dr. Murray was present during the search of his home and assisted the officers. Investigators left Dr. Murray’s home around 12 noon, seizing cell phones and a computer hard drive. As of 2pm, the search at Dr. Murray’s office continues.”
