Literally, yes, but only for a day… and with good reason too. It seems that Simon Cowell recently hosted a charity day for a children’s hospital at his home. There the former American Idol judge dressed as a clown with the full equipment: red nose, make-up… the works. And with only this Simon Cowell managed to raise one million dollars for the hospital in question… that’s not too bad for one day’s work. Maybe he can do the same on his American version of The X factor just to spice up the ratings a bit… not that he has too many competitors for the audience.

This is a heads up to everyone who donated money to Haiti via Wyclef Jean’s charity as past tax returns show that the former Fugees singer has used donation money in the past for personal reasons. There are a couple of sketchy withdrawals taken from The Wyclef Jean Foundation including $31,200 in rent to New York City recording studio Platinum Sound which is owned by Foundation board members, $100,000 to the said studio for “musical performance services of Wyclef Jean at a benefit concert” and $250,000 to Haitian based Telemax for “pre-purchased TV airtime and production services”. This such a douche bag move. Let’s hope he doesn’t dip into the money for the earthquake victims or he has hell to pay.

Lily Allen Cancels Again
A word of advice to all you remaining Lily Allen fans – stop giving a crap! The singer obviously doesn’t give one about any of her fans so why bother caring anymore. You should just enjoy her music in the comfort of your home and stop wasting all of your time and money on the singer live because she will do nothing but disappoint you. It has once again been reported that Lily has cancelled a performance this past weekend due to a throat infection. It wouldn’t be so bad if the show wasn’t for charity. She couldn’t even pull it together for the less fortunate.

Almost two months after his tragic death, the fortune left behind by Stephen Gately is still being shuffled around. The reason is that the former Boyzone singer never got to draft a will, or at least, not one that anyone can get their hands on. And because there is no documentation that can be found and since England recognizes same sex unions, if a will isn’t found, the majority of Stephen’s $10 million will go to his partner Andrew Cowles. Andrew has already publicly stated that any money that he will receive will go to charity. I hope no one else contests this. I’m pretty sure that Stephen would have wanted that.

After a week spent in the African country where she is probably known as a god now, Madonna headed back home with her four children after she promised that she would bring light to a village in Malawi… among other things. It seems her plan worked well as they are probably raising statues of her there as we speak, but all in all, it is a good gesture on Madonna’s part to help those poor little mortals… misguided, as they may be. Maybe when her adopted children return there they will continue their mothers’ work with much more diligence… maybe even erect an academy for boys too, who knows?

It seems that the way that the Jackson family found to be helpful in grieving the loss of the King of Pop Michael Jackson was to get publicity in any way, shape or form. LaToya Jackson previously recorded a song called ‘Home’ to honor her entire family. The song will now be available on July 28th as a tribute single to her late brother, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. LaToya won’t be doing any marketing or promotion for the record though. All the proceeds from the song will be donated to AIDS Project LA, a charity that was supported by Michael.

Lady Gaga recently attended an AIDS charity event held by Body Positive North West in Manchester this past Monday. The 23-year old singer visited and supported the charity event for young people affected by HIV because “I have a lot of gay and lesbian friends who are confronted by the fears of that sort of lifestyle. I am a very supportive, proactive woman and I really just wanted to paint with them today. They are so vibrant and its art and love and togetherness. It is everything that should be around the very serious thing that is HIV.” She’s such a nice girl with a good head on her shoulders.
