Chris Cornell’s long-awaited Timbaland produced album, Scream

Chris Cornell’s long-awaited Timbaland produced album, Scream, is reaching stores on 3/10.  Chris has been keeping busy rehearsing with his new band and talking with his fans on his blog to gear up for the release.  The front man hasn’t picked up an electric guitar since the break-up of his legendary group Soundgarden back in the late 90’s, but according to his latest blog entry on ChrisCornell.com, he’s thinking of busting them out for his upcoming tour:

“Hi people. Here is an open question. Since I got my guitars back I have been considering playing guitar live again. Who thinks I should pick it up again? I play guitar all day every day as I am always working on new songs. Let me know if you think I should hit it live. The king is dead. God save the king.”

Chris Cornell will be performing on Jimmy Kimmel live tonight, Friday, January 23rd – and free tickets are up for grabs. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, come along and see his outdoor mini-concert – tickets and all other details are available now. It’s a great chance to catch Chris and his band live before they head out to Europe for four exclusive shows next month.

Timbaland now married

Timbaland got married again at the weekend. The record producer – who officially tied the knot with long-term partner Monique Idlett earlier this month – had a lavish ceremony yesterday in the Caribbean island of Aruba in front of hundreds of guests.

An onlooker said: “It was a beautiful day and it confirmed their love for each other.”

Missy Elliot and singer Keri Hilson, who worked with Timbaland on his single ‘Scream’, were among the guests who had received feather-filled clear invitations.

When the couple first tied the knot on June 10, they opted for a low-key ceremony and wore sweat pants as they secretly wed in front of a family pastor in a Virginia church.

Timbaland, real name Timothy Z. Mosley, and Monique, who works as a music publicist, welcomed their first daughter Reign in November.

The 37-year-old music mogul – who has collaborated with Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and Madonna – proposed to Monique at Reign’s baby shower last October.

Ashley Tisdale Cancels

Ashley Tisdale Cancels

Just because she went and got herself a nose job doesn’t mean that she can break many hearts whenever she wants to. But Ashley Tisdale did just that in South Florida on Saturday night.

The Disney star was scheduled to take part at the Y100 Jingle Ball as a performer but she cancelled at the last minute. Apparently, she was in too much pain to perform. If you have work commitments scheduled, why would you get a nose job a week prior to the gig?

Fortunately, Nelly Furtado showed up unannounced and surprised everyone by joining Timbaland on stage for a performance of their hit ‘Give It to Me’.

Nelly Furtado Secret Wedding?

Nelly Furtado Secret Wedding?

Ok from surprise nuptials to secret ones. Nelly Furtado was spotted partying at Miami’s Y100 Jingle Ball on Saturday wearing a gold band on her wedding finger.

The engagement between her and Cuban sound engineer Demacio “Demo” Castellon was revealed in July.

A source is quoted as saying: “Nelly was partying backstage with Natasha Bedingfield and Timbaland. She was so happy and there was no missing the gold band on her finger. Natasha took her hand and looked at it and then hugged her and whispered something in her ear. It looked like she was congratulating her.”

All I can say is congratulations Nelly. And who can blame them if they really did do it in secret…not everyone is up for the big celebrity wedding of the Jordan and Peter style.

Timbaland to Timbadad

timbaland baby

Publicist Monique Idlett gave birth to a baby girl just a few days ago, making rapper and producer Timbaland a very proud father. Awe! The couple has known each other for many years and; after a romantic proposal at the couples baby shower in October, plan to be wed early next year.

Ok so what happened to the theory that all rappers are bad men; not to be involved with? I want me one of Timbaland thank you very much. He is a proud father and has done the honorable thing and proposed to the mother of his child. Not like that scummy Eddy Murphy who not only dumps his missus live on TV; now he refuses to even meet his child. Bah!

Congratulations to Timbaland and good luck with those diapers! Let’s just hope he can teach the little one better grammar than his last song; “The Way I Are”.

Timbaland Says No to Brit

blog5-timbaland.jpg

Beat master of the year, and probably of all time, Timbaland thinks that it would be a big no-no if Britney Spears performs at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 9th. Of course, the performance is still at the rumor stage, but it sometimes helps to voice your opinion.

The rapper/producer also happens to be the ‘Music Director’ of the VMAs and he says that he hasn’t heard of Brit making an appearance but if it were so, he thinks that it would be a bad idea. He told Access Hollywood that “I’m the maestro. If I don’t know nothing about it…could be, hope not. I don’t know, I don’t know nothing about it. Wooh, that would be a headache.”

True or not, I’m still betting that Britney will flake.
