Shakira’s new single “Loca” was premiered today, September 1st. This is the English version which features British rapper Dizzee Rascal.

Well, well, it looks like the she-wolf has self-esteem issues… about her looks of all things, to top it off. But Shakira isn’t alone in her suffering. No, Shakira has a therapist to help her with her difficulties. This is what she related on the matter: “It helped me so much with every aspect of my life, from body image to relationships. My therapist told me why I behaved in certain ways and not to feel so pressured. It’s incredibly liberating to spend an hour talking to someone and not caring about what you sound like. It’s about understanding myself. Sometimes I’ll speak to my therapist for an hour a day. It’s become part of my routine.” And the American Psychiatric Association is probably very grateful to Shakira for all her support of their activities and will continue to offer all of their essential contributions to her well-being. It looks like Shakira needs a little more attention these days. In a bid for more eyes to be on her for a change, Shakira decided to share with everybody how she believes she was born with the ability to belly-dance: “For me, it was, and is, more of a natural thing. It’s something that was practically given to me at birth, and for which I never had to train myself. These movements, they are inside me and I can call them back whenever I need them.” How wonderful that is! We have a superhero among us! Now Shakira can join the Pop League and use her amazing powers of belly-dancing, bestowed on her from birth mind you, to make the world a better place for the music industry!
Close on the heels of media mogul Oprah Winfrey donating 1 million pounds to the New Jersey education system a foundation belonging to multiple Grammy Award winner Shakira has pledged $6 million to building a school in the singer’s hometown in Columbia.
Her foundation, Pies Descalzos, which mean ‘barefoot’ in Spanish will take up the construction of a 13,000sqmt school which will have facilities to cater to some 1800 students round the year and this is not the first such project that her foundation has taken up actually this will be the 5th such school that the singer-songwriter’s foundation has built.
Really folks there are no words to applaud the efforts of both Oprah and Shakira, there are many upheavals that take place in the lives of our celebrities and we always take the opportunity to take a jibe at them but such efforts must not go unnoticed and we should shower all the praise that we can on them for taking up such causes. Very well done Shakira, do not stop here, keep going.
Latina magazine reports that Shakira will be performing at the Obama inauguration in January!

Plus, as perezhilton reports it, when Shakira endorsed the president-elect back in October, Barry said that, “It’s an honor for me to receive support from someone with so much talent, from an artist who has been so generous.”
