Exclusive Premiere of Tokio Hotel’s Humanoid on Myspace

Head over to Tokio Hotel’s Myspace for an exclusive listen of their album Humanoid. The first single, “Automatic” is a metallic anthem with layered, buzzing guitars, stomping percussion, and a falsetto chorus made to be belted out by a stadium full of people while “World Behind My Wall” redefines the power ballad with depth, introspection, musical confidence and an irresistible sing-along chorus. The band tracked songs in Hamburg, Miami, and L.A. “Bill drove us all crazy, constantly coming in with things, even though the old songs weren’t finished yet,” says Tom, who’s fond of frequently ribbing his brother. “Apart from that, we just didn’t limit ourselves, and we used new instruments.”

The album does not hit stores until tomorrow, but the band is streaming all 12 tracks from the standard version until midnight. Like what you hear? Preorder the sci-fi themed release on iTunes now.

Cheryl Coles new solo single set for radio airing

SPL93562_006

Singer Cheryl Cole’s new solo single will air next week.

The Girls Aloud member’s debut track will be played first on British BBC Radio 1’s breakfast show.

The show’s producer, Aled Haydn Jones, wrote on his Twitter page: “Just heard Cheryl Cole’s new song! Oh my God, I love it. We have the first play on Monday at 8am.”

Jones updated his the post later, saying: “It’s not as pop as I’d expected.”

Cole’s fellow X-Factor judge Louis Walsh told Love It magazine: “I actually think she’s the new Kylie. There’s no doubt about it, Cheryl will be a huge pop star when she releases her solo album. Her career is only just starting and she will be the most successful member of Girls Aloud.”

    Whitney Houston’s Release Date

The diva is officially back as a date has been announced for the release of Whitney Houston’s much anticipated seventh album. The iconic singer’s label recently announced that her album is set to drop on September 1st. September can’t come soon enough! With the album coming out in the early fall, we should all be expecting a single by July or August at the very latest. I’m excited. I wonder if she’s going to still have the same sound or if she’s gotten in with the times and got a bit more flavor to her music. I’m so excited to hear from her.

Katy Perry is Still on Top

I guess we can officially call Katy Perry’s hit single ‘I Kissed a Girl’ as the song of the summer as it is once again the number one song in America. Her single has been on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks in a row now. Once again, Rihanna’s ‘Take a Bow’ follows Katy in the number two spot. Rihanna once said that her single ‘Disturbia’ will be the song of the summer. Let’s see how it matches up once it’s out. But for now, the throne is all for Katy. Congratulations goes to both though for having great successes with their singles.

    Disturbing Rihanna

Rihanna was spotted wearing a weird feathery headpiece as she shot her new video for the song ‘Disturbia’ in Los Angeles earlier this week. The 20-year old Barbadian babe was also spotted wearing another strange, but very hot, outfit of tattered pieces of tartan in various colors, fishnet stockings and bright red pumps. If her clothes are anything to go by, it looks like the video is going to be another hot one. ‘Disturbia’, the self-proclaimed summer anthem of 2008, was co-written and features background vocals but as yet confirmed boyfriend Chris Brown. The video is directed by famed photographer/director David LaChapelle.

    Heidi Montag’s Tears

Fashion…seems like it would be something Heidi Montag would know a lot about.  Instead, it’s a pile of garbage.

Heidi’s single was pre-released…leaked…whatever you want to call it….and most response to it has been negative.  The vocals are ridiculously synthesized.

    Umm, so maybe that’s why she’s crying….

    Mariah Carey Films in Hawaii

Nick Cannon got to touch his wife Mariah Carey’s lovely curves to help her dry off after she shot her ‘I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time’ music video at the O’ahu Sealife Park in Hawaii on Monday. The video is for the curvaceous diva’s third single off her new album ‘E=MC²’. Rapper TI will be featured in a remix to the song and was also rumored to have been in Hawaii to join Mariah in filming the music video to the song. I wonder if she’ll come out with two videos, one for the original version and one for the remix.

Jennifer Hudson is in the Spotlight

The brand new ‘Spotlight’ cover for the debut single from Jennifer Hudson’s upcoming album ‘Spotlight’ has been released. The song was written and co-produced by hit maker and R&B sensation Ne-Yo. The single will hit the radio airwaves on June 9 and will be digitally available at iTunes on June 10. While the song doesn’t really showcase Jennifer’s amazing vocal range which made her such a hit on American Idol and the movie ‘Dreamgirls’, it’s a pretty radio friendly song which should still make it somewhat of a hit. She has that ‘Sex & the City’ song to back her career up in case ‘Spotlight’ doesn’t do well anyway.

    Rihanna and Maroon 5 Video

Maroon 5 has teamed up with Rihanna to re-release the band’s single ‘If I Never See Your Face Again’. Just this past Tuesday, the collaborators also released a video for their new duet which was shot in Los Angeles by Anthony Mandler. And just as I thought, Rihanna has kicked it up another notch when it comes to how hot she can get in her videos. The video is a hotness overload as you have both Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine on one hand and the hot Barbadian babe on the other. Adam is hot. Rihanna is hotter. This video? The hottest ever!

    Leaking Oasis

It is being reported that three new Oasis tracks have started making the rounds on message boards and fan sites all throughout the day on Wednesday. The three tracks are ‘I Wanna Live a Dream (In My Record Machine)’, ‘Nothin’ on Me’ and ‘Stop the Clocks’. However, as the day went on, several previously working links went dead. It appears that steps were taken to remove the demos. Weren’t they planning on releasing their album for free? If the plans haven’t changed, why bother to kill the links? It’s not like it’s going to affect anything especially if plans do pull through that they are giving away their music.

    Madonna the ‘geek’

Madonna claims she was a ‘geek’ when she began her career.

The ‘4 Minutes’ singer – who was known for her raunchy image when she hit the music scene in the early 80s – insists people had the wrong idea about her and she was well-behaved.

She said: ‘I really was not getting up to much. I don’t think I was as naughty as I could have been. I was quite straight. I was a geek when I was that age. I did not really do that much that was interesting.’

The mother-of-three also says one of her earliest hits ‘Like A Virgin’ had an innocence surrounding it. She said: ‘There is a kind of simplicity about it. There is an innocence about it. When I look at the video I also see a girl who is innocent and wide-eyed and really excited about her life and the beginning of her career.’

In 1992, Madonna released her controversial book ‘Sex’, in which she posed in a series of X-rated photographs, and admits she has never been able to put the erotic tome behind her.

The singer, who turns 50 later this year, added: ‘I hope that’s not the only thing that I’m identified with – taking my clothes off. I have done other things. There’s a lot more to Madonna than taking your clothes off.’
