Christina Aguilera Goes Red

Christina Aguilera showed off her new strawberry blonde locks on the set of her new video for the song ‘You Lost Me’. It’s a ballad off of her latest album, the big flop known as ‘Bionic’. The 29-year old powerhouse singer spoke to ET about the album saying “Bionic is definitely my baby at the moment. Eventually, in the future, I do want to expand on my family and have another one, but for now, Bionic is the baby and [my movie] Burlesque is the other baby.” Who’s willing to bet that the movie will be a flop too? If it’s a success, I’m putting it all on Cher.

Christina Aguilera inspired by Cher

There seems to be quite a good working relationship that has developed between the two singers. Cher admires Christina Aguilera and she responds in the same way. This is what Christina Aguilera said about her “Burlesque” co-star: “I love Cher and I never knew just how much before I made this movie. I have always had tremendous respect for her. She is a woman who did everything before anyone else did it. She is an icon and she inspired me through some of my career. We’ve had similar costumes too!” Well, actually there is one thing that Cher was beaten to doing: Sophia Loren was the first to keep her looks even at a more than reasonable age. But hey, as long as they have similar costumes, it’s perfectly natural for Christina Aguilera to look up at Cher.

Cher and Wynonna Judd Do Covers

When your career is basically in the dumpster, there’s nothing better than to appeal to the nostalgia of middle-aged folks by coming out with an album of old time covers. And wouldn’t you know it? That’s exactly what Cher and Wynonna Judd are up to. Cher is reportedly coming out with an album of 60s covers saying “it was such a magical time for music” and that she wants to “pay tribute to a time when I used to listen to music on my little transistor radio.” Wynonna covers a broad range of genres though by drawing on the likes of Hank Williams and Merle Haggard because “it’s all me, its all part of the tapestry of who I am.”
