Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has said she has never known “anybody stronger” than her sister Jessica Simpson.

The 24-year-old star, who is preparing for the premiere of her new TV show Melrose Place, admitted she is in awe of her sister Jessica, 29, after she was dumped by her boyfriend Tony Romo the day before her 29th birthday.

Ashlee said: “I don’t think I’ve ever known anybody stronger than her. My sister is amazing. I spend so much time with her.”

Ashlee also talked about balancing her career and motherhood after giving birth to son Bronx eight months ago.

She said: “It’s been good so far. For me, I wanted to do something that’s a bit more stable, and it’s been that, which has been perfect. And we get to travel.

“We’ve been to Paris, Japan, everywhere with my son. And he’s so happy and healthy. I’m very fortunate he’s on a good schedule.”

Pete Wentz parties as wife Twitters about missing him

Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz partied the night away in Vegas – as his wife Ashlee Simpson Wentz was Twittering about how much she was missing him.

The singer recently partied in Las Vegas until 3am, after his band played a sold-out show at the Palms Casino Resort.

An eyewitness told Star magazine: "Everybody was going absolutely crazy! People were playing makeshift slip and slide with a mat and lubricant and Pete was in great spirits. He was dancing and singing along to his own band’s songs, grinding up against dancers."

But while Wentz was partying the night away, Ashlee was back in Los Angeles with their son Bronx. She Twittered: "I am beyond sad to leave my love… My heart is breaking."

Ashlee Simpson Cancels

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz’s CD ‘Bittersweet World’ continues to bomb in record sales. As a reflection of that, the singer just cancelled four shows on her upcoming summer tour. There has been no official statement given regarding the cancellation but people are chalking it up to poor ticket sales. The shows that were cancelled were on June 9 in Chicago, IL on June 24 in New York, NY, on June 27 in Hyannis, MA and on July 1 in Westbury, NY. If you had tickets for any of the above shows, I have just this to say: what the heck were you thinking?

Bittersweet Debut for Ashlee Simpson

It’s a good thing that Ashlee Simpson can keep herself busy with planning a wedding and having a baby with Pete Wentz because her music career isn’t going to be going anywhere anytime soon. Ashlee’s new CD ‘Bittersweet World’ was released on Tuesday and is only projected to sell around 50,000 – 55,000 in its first week. Her last CD ‘I Am Me’ opened to 220,000 on its first week in 2005. Her debut album ‘Autobiography’ sold 398,000 on its first week. Apparently, we’re gradually losing love for her. She’s a sweet girl, maybe a liar, but a sweet girl nonetheless. It sucks for her and it’s very disappointing.

Pete Wentz Says No Feud

So did you hear the song “So Many People” by Neurosonic? Yeah, neither did we.

Well, supposedly it makes fun of Ashlee Simpson because of her lipsynching episode of Saturday Night Live in 2004, and boyfriend Pete Wentz of Fallout Boy is none too happy. Neurosonic’s frontman Jason Darr introduced the song at a concert by saying Wentz sent them a “cease and desist” letter warning them against performing the song and cracking jokes at his girlfriend’s expense.

According to Wentz’s rep, though, that was all a crock. “I’ve never heard of the song. Pete’s never heard of it. No one’s ever heard of it.” He goes on to state that Wentz wouldn’t even do that if he was upset because he believes in artistic freedom.

Darr responded by saying that his comments during their concert were a joke. “Anyone silly enough to believe I was serious about the comment…has no sense of humor. The song is tongue in cheek, and it was mostly meant to blow off steam about a subject that is laughable at best.” He adds that it wasn’t meant maliciously.

Even Ashlee has to admit that her stint on Saturday Night Live is laughable. Talk about equipment malfunction. Thanks to Neurosonic for reminding us of it and giving us a good laugh!
