Apparently the singer was so impressed with the Minnesota Vikings at their last game that he decided to compose a song in their honor. This is what the lyrics Prince wrote for his new song look like: “the veil of the sky draws open/ the roar of the chariots touch down/ we r the ones who have now come again/and walk upon water like solid ground/ as we approach the throne we won’t bow down/ this time we won’t b denied” Chariots? Prince should really do some reading before delving into these spontaneous songs… Vikings and chariots don’t really go together here. He should’ve got Alicia Keys to help him on this one… at least she probably would’ve been better with the lyrics. Maybe she could’ve given the song a better vibe too… one that would’ve sounded more like Vikings.

The world renowned musician has recently divulged her intentions of starting her own company, a company that Alicia Keys describes in the following words: “It really explores the ways I can affect the world in a positive way, even outside of music. It is really about finding ways to bring forth things into the world that will give you and all the people that encounter them, and myself, inspiration.” Say what? Honestly, I really don’t understand what this is all supposed to be about, but apparently the Alicia Keys’ first project with this company is selling handcrafted jewelry with messages of love, peace and so forth. Really, you need some extra money, just say so, don’t go bull-stuffing everybody with inspiration and making the world a better place, that died out a long time ago.

Beyonce Knowles rocked the World Music Awards night held in Monte Carlo. She performed “Single ladies Put a Ring On It”. The awards night took place on Sunday November 9th and Knowles was amongst the top performers who included the likes of Kid Rock, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys and many others.

Really she is a super performer and there is news that she has announced that is willing to perform on the day when US President Elect Barack Obama officially takes over as the President of the Untied States of America.

Amongst the winners, Alicia Keys received the award for the world’s best R&B singer, while Lil Wayne was named world’s top hip-hop/rap artist.

Rihanna was spotted looking mighty beautiful as she left Madison Square Garden on Wednesday in New York City. The 20-year old R&B singer and Ne-Yo were special guests who joined the lineup for the night on Alicia Keys’ ‘As I Am’ tour. It’s most likely that the duo performed their hit ‘Hate that I Love You’. Alicia’s tour has been building upon the success of her latest album ‘As I Am’. Add Rihanna and Ne-Yo into the mix and we’re guaranteed a hot show from start to finish. I wish I was there to see all three R&B hit makers together.

Alicia Keys in on the July 2008 cover of Seventeen magazine which hits newsstands on June 3. The singer-songwriter opened up to the magazine about her mistakes, lost loves and how she’s finally following her heart. Alicia admits to being a perfectionist even in her relationships saying “Yes, I definitely am. But I’m realizing it’s okay for things to not be perfect. Like even with relationships – I think we get into them, and we have these ideas of how it’s supposed to be. And when it starts not to feel right, we think we can make it right. But when it’s not right, I have to say, Something’s wrong and I have to figure out what it is so I can feel happier.”

Z100’s Jingle Ball was held on Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It was attended by some of the hottest stars and featured some great performances from them as well.Avril Lavigne and Alicia Keys are only two artists who performed at the event. Both of them did great. I have no question about Alicia Keys, she always does great. Avril Lavigne is another case because she’s been known to be flaky but I guess she’s got the holiday spirit and actually did a good set.

A lot of other artists took to the stage. A debut was even made – Ashley Tisdale’s new nose!

The writers’ strike is still going on and more and more stars are showing their support. However, I’m a little confused when it comes to Alicia Keys because just moments after she pumped out the crowd by screaming “let’s walk!”, the singer walked straight to her car.

Alicia took some time to perform a set to get protesters all riled up. She then shouted out her support and made it seem like she was going to join in the march like many others have but instead, she made a beeline to her waiting SUV.

It was still cool of her to show up and sing though.
