Black Eyed Peas revealed the name of their new album that will be released at the end of this year. The sixth Black Eyed Peas studio album will be named “The Beginning”. Will.i.am said to Associated Press that this new album symbolizes growing up, a new beginning and a new perspective. The Black Eyed Peas are owners of a record: their hit “I Gotta Feeling” is the most downloaded album from the internet, with more than six million downloads. The album “The E.N.D.” where the song “I Gotta Feeling” is extracted from, also had a quite big success.

If you still give a crap about Bush, you’re in luck because the band is releasing a new album. Bush has decided to extend their reunion for another year. After nine years of their radio silence, the guys are set to release a new album this coming October and then go on tour in 2011. But then again, you have to ask who cares about them anymore. I doubt there’s a large enough group of fans around to make this thing profitable. Besides, lead singer Gavin Rossdale is a proud papa and a hubby to a hot wife. He doesn’t really need to do this.

House actor Hugh Laurie has signed a record deal for a new blues album later this year.

The 51-year-old star will team up with several musicians for the new album, which he is releasing with music group Warner.

The actor is regularly seen playing a guitar and piano on the US TV series and he will record it later this year for a release in the autumn.

Speaking about the new venture, he said: “I am drunk with excitement at this opportunity. I know the history of actors making music is a chequered one, but I promise no one will get hurt.

“I am particularly thrilled to be working with Joe Henry, who has produced some of my favourite records of all time, and I can’t wait to get started.”

A new Linkin Park album is on the way. The official release date was announced on the band’s homepage. Fans must prepare and run to the stores on the 14th of September and buy the new album. The new album will be named “ A Thousand Sun”. The album is a co-production of Mike Shinoda (the band’s vocalist) and Rick Rubin. This collaboration is not without precedent, since they collaborated on the last album, “Minutes to Midnight” also. The band members announced that the first single from the album “The Catalyst” will be heard starting 2nd of August on their MySpace page and radios.

The singer has apparently struck a rough spot recently since her upcoming album, a remixed version of “Angels Advocate”, was cancelled just a month before its release. However, Mariah Carey’s representatives insist that the singer is far from battered. In fact, she may be preparing a new album as we speak: “We are looking to go possibly to another studio album or Christmas album. The decision hasn’t been totally made yet. It’s a creative process that cannot be rushed.” Well, to be honest, a remix album isn’t really a true album… just a bunch of old songs made to sound new. Mariah Carey needs a little incentive to try a little harder next semester, get things rolling and all that.

Evanescence will finally be releasing a new record after four years. However, don’t expect the same band that you once knew. Only one person remains from the Grammy wining band – singer Amy Lee. The original guys parted ways with her some time ago to form a new group called Fallen with new lead singer, American Idol alum Carly Smithson. Amy recently spoke about the new sound of her band saying “It’s not an organic record. Our idea is to take synthetic and atmospheric sounds and find a way to blur the line between organic and synthetic… There is something really cool happening in music right now. There are bands that sound like they’re from another time — it’s like ’80s throwback music with analogue synthesizers and Moogs. I love it. I’ve been listening to a lot of La Roux.” That’s nice and all but I wonder how fans of the band’s old style would react to the new music.

Goldfrapp is coming out with a new album this year and from the songs that I’ve heard so far, her music is definitely the most anticipated to come out from its genre. Her latest song is called ‘Believer’ and it is rumored that it’s all about Alison Goldfrapp’s new relationship. The singer recently came out as a lesbian. She must have gotten a lot of inspiration from her new love because the new music is absolutely amazing. I can’t wait until it finally gets released. I’m just about ready to get everyone hooked on Goldfrapp. I honestly believe she’s one of the best out there.

Well, that’s what happens when your ex-husband is the one that’s producing your album. It seems that Avril Lavigne has pushed the release date for her next album to mid-2010 because she and the album’s producer, Deryck Whibley, who is also her former husband can’t seem to get along too well. This is what a music agent said about Avril Lavigne’s working relationship with Deryck Whibley: “The first eight songs, Avril and Deryck worked with a lot of love and it came easy. But there’s three or four more to do and they just ain’t feeling it. It’ll be a terrific album if they can put this aside for a month or so and concentrate on what matters — the music.” How could they ever put it aside for even a month when they have not yet decided who gets the dog? Divorce is always a messy business, isn’t it?

Ashley Tisdale has just revealed the release date for her album Guilty Pleasure! The HSM alum’s sophomore album featuring the first single “It’s Alright, It’s OK” will drop on June 16th. Ashley posted the exciting news on her official blog yesterday:

Lady Sovereign is talking about her departure from Def Jam, her experience in the industry and how that experience brought her down just in time before her second album ‘Jigsaw’ comes our way. She said “I went on strike and stopped doing stuff, so Def Jam got the hump [stop putting up] with me. I lost the plot a few times. I was cutting myself and stupid things like that. I was tired. I felt like it was just push, push, push. I didn’t have a chance to record any new stuff, it was the same old songs.” It was followed by a low wherein the rapper almost overdosed on antidepressants. Fortunately, her friends were there to help. Now, Lady Sovereign is “determined and excited…This is never going to stop; I’ll keep making music, I’ll keep doing my own thing. I’m not a one-trick pony.”

Ashley Tisdale may have become popular as the dumb cutie blonde in the three installments of the phenomenal High School Musical but she is itching to get away from that persona saying the world should take a look at her beyond the Disney film. She said she is now 23 years old and there is more to her than what people see in the bubbly dumb blonde character she played in HSM.

Fresh from the success of her “Headstrong” album, Ashley Tisdale is now aggressively promoting her new album “Guilty Pleasure” which has a more edgy and pop-rock sound. The album will be released on June 16, 2009. Ashley Tisdale said people should know she has a tougher side and that she loves rock music. The first cut from her new album “It’s Alright, It’s OK” seems to be saying what she wants the people to know —standing up for herself.

Taylor Hicks’ sophomore album, The Distance, is available today! The Simon Climie (Eric Clapton, Faith Hill) produced album that features current single “What’s Right is Right” is now streaming in full on AOL Music. The soulful singer is slated to perform the single on Ellen , Wednesday, March 11th.

Singer-songwriter Kate Voegele is gearing up for the May release of A Fine Mess, the highly anticipated follow-up to her 2008 debut album, Don’t Look Away (MySpace/Interscope). Voegele recorded the album in Los Angeles with producer Mike Elizondo (Rihanna, Maroon 5, Pink).

The 22-year-old has been racking up frequent flier miles of late, jetting back and forth between L.A. and Wilmington, North Carolina, where she’s also shooting new episodes of the CW Network’s hit TV series “One Tree Hill.” This season sees Voegele reprising her role as singer-songwriter Mia. She made headlines last year by performing several songs on the show, all from Don’t Look Away.

In their year-end issue, Billboard magazine spotlighted the 10 biggest film and television placement/appearances of 2008 and put Voegele’s involvement with “One Tree Hill” at No. 1. Wrote Billboard Sr. Editor Ann Donohue, “There’s getting a song placed in a prime-time show and then there’s getting cast in that show to play your own music and have the show’s creator write storylines for you inspired by your songs. Such was the case for Kate Voegele…”.

The new season of “One Tree Hill” will see Voegele giving audiences sneak previews of songs from the upcoming album, beginning with the March 16th episode, when she will premiere a brand-new track titled “Manhattan From The Sky.”

Voegele, hailed by Entertainment Weekly for being among the best of “the new golden age of female singer-songwriters,” spent the majority of 2008 touring in support of debut album Don’t Look Away, the record that earned her “Artist To Watch In ‘08” accolades from Billboard. Over the course of the year, she shared stages with Natasha Bedingfield, The Veronicas, Ben Lee, Cary Brothers and launched her own headlining tour.
Voegele performed on “Live with Regis and Kelly” and CBS’ “The Early Show,” and also appeared on “TRL” and Fuse-TV’s “The Sauce.” She recently gave a special acoustic performance on the ABC-TV’s “The Bachelor.” She’s also been featured on the cover of USA Today’s “Life” section and appeared in the pages of People, CosmoGirl, TV Guide and Giant, to name but a few.

Cyberspace is the place where you can get a complete copy of ‘No Line On The Horizon’, the latest album offering of the Irish rock band U2. The actual release date of the album was slated for March of 2009 but the album has been leaked onto the internet and it was caught by thousands of fans none of whom would have let go off the opportunity to have the album on their iPods and other music storage devices.

It is said that the file sharing site Pirate Bay was were the album source was available and nearly 100,000 surfers had downloaded the entire album in just a few hours after it become available online.

Yeah friends must have sent a word of mouth to other friends and it must have spread across like wild fire, just imagine that you can have a new album for download for absolutely no charge it makes you feel rich again doesn’t it.

You begin to think why I wasted all that money in the past over some really crap music albums and here I have a real gem of an album from U2 for free. I however missed out but surely now that its out in the open people would be uploading the whole thing on some other sharing sites. The album is in public domain now!

Lily Allen has been saturating the media with lots of senseless information about herself and more often than not, just her senseless self. She is promoting an album after all and there is a saying that there’s no such thing as bad publicity. Well, I have a feeling that the leak of her entire new album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ is just another publicity stunt. She doesn’t really talk about her album so I guess it’s just right that they just let the album speak for itself. Major oops though. The good news about that is that it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. It’s half decent really.

U2 released their latest single ‘Get on Your Boots’ last week. I found it really disappointing. I was expecting so much from them. However, it seems like Europe has taken a liking to it. The single has been doing measly numbers over in the US but it has got some major ones across the pond. According to Nielsen Music control, the first two days of airplay the song got shot it straight to number 1 on Ireland’s airplay chart and number 4 in the UK. The song has reached a total audience of 12.5 million in the UK as well as 11 million in Italy and 78 million in Germany. The song is also doing well in Austria, Belgium and Holland.

“Get On Your Boots,” the first single from U2’s new album No Line On The Horizon, will be released on January 19th on Interscope Records. The album is currently available for pre-order and will be released on March 3rd.
Produced by Brian Eno, Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite, sessions for No Line On The Horizon began in Fez, Morocco, and continued at the band’s Dublin studio, New York’s Platinum Sound Recording Studios, and Olympic Studios in London.
The album will be released in a standard format with a 24- page booklet and in digipak format. The digipak includes an extended booklet and the album’s companion film “Linear” by Anton Corbijn. A limited edition 64-page magazine will also be available, featuring the band in conversation with artist Catherine Owens, and new Anton Corbijn photographs. No Line On The Horizon will be released on 180gm vinyl.
The cover artwork for the album is an image of the sea meeting the sky by Japanese artist and photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto.
