This is what Amy Winehouse’s niece said about the rumors of her remarrying Blake Fielder-Civil: “Don’t listen to talk of Amy getting remarried to Blake – it’s a lie. She is happy without him.” Well, who better to know the mad workings of a confused mind such as Amy Winehouse’s than her thirteen-year old niece? Maybe Amy Winehouse just suckered Blake Fielder-Civil into giving her an engagement ring and then renouncing all of the plans… a sort of very devious “in your face” kind of move. Maybe Dionne Bromfield is her confidante, but hasn’t really quite got the hang of the fact that she’s not supposed to speak up about these matters.
An ironic twist of events is unfolding. While Adam Lambert’s performances are apparently more than Good Morning America can handle, Chris Brown is just fine as the singer will be appearing on an interview where he too will speak about the Rihanna incident. A source from ABC said the following about Chris Brown’s upcoming interview: “The network is giving a mixed message — that it doesn’t trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault. Chris Brown’s interview was booked way before Adam Lambert took to the stage. It is to give him a chance to respond to Rihanna’s interview. The possibility of him performing a song will be worked out next week.” Well now, Chris Brown finally gets to tell his side of the story and mess things up even more, while Adam Lambert just stays and watches. That might not be entirely fair.
Taylor Swift cleaned up at the American Music Awards last week, taking home five awards, including the biggest of the night, Artist of the Year. Taylor wasn’t at the show and instead watched it via satellite in London’s Wembley Arena. She accepted her final award at nearly 4AM London time! The 19-year old country singer was the only one to have beaten out Michael Jackson, who won four posthumous awards. Taylor said “Music has never been ultimately about competition. And to even be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson, who we will miss and love forever, is an unimaginable honor.”

The highly disturbed singer turned actress has apparently given way to an offer of posing topless for French magazine Purple recently. Of course, after the shoot, Lindsay Lohan just rushed on away to prepare Thanksgiving dinner with her family, as her mother Dina Lohan relates: “Lindsay is making the garlic mashed potatoes. They are amazing! Ali is doing the stuffing and I’m doing the turkey and making sure nothing burns. Then, when it’s ready, we go around the table and say what we are thankful for. A source close to Peter Andre related the following: “She said she was sorry for being such a bitch to him. She asked him straight out if there was any chance they could get back together and pleaded for a reunion.” However, the source also added the following crucial info: “The idea of a reunion is not something Pete would even consider. Tokio Hotel took home the award for Best Group earlier this month at MTV’s European Music Awards where they also gave an electrifying performance of “World Behind My Wall.” This guitar-charged ballad is their new, official focus track in the US and follows “Automatic” as the second single off of Humanoid. Despite the rumors of that new law of theirs and the fact that they supposedly don’t like it when there is lip-synching involved at concerts, the dwellers from Sydney sure made Britney Spears’ trip there worthwhile. Over the span of four nights, Britney Spears’ show sold 66,247 tickets. Now that’s what you might call a lucrative business… and all of it just for moving her lips to a song. Britney Spears definitely has the ideal profession, doesn’t she? Makes you wonder if that law against lip-synching is ever going to pass with so much economic goodness coming out of the thing.

Keisha Buchanan is apparently going to be working with her former band mate, Mutya Buena. She wrote the following on her twitter page: “I’ll hopefully be working with mutya on my album! American Idol alum Fantasia Barrino has gotten herself a new man. The only problem is that the guy’s married with two kids. The singer first met Antwaun Cook when he was working at a T-Mobile store in August. By September, the two were so in love that the guy left his wife and two sons and moved in with Fantasia. It sounds like Antwaun got himself a sugar mama. Lucky for her, if she’s ever in danger of losing her house again, he could sell it for her since he also happens to be a real estate agent. And get this, the homewrecker is planning to honor her man by having his last name tattooed on her left shoulder.
Authorites investigating Michael Jackson’s doctor have said that a decision to make an arrest won’t happen until the new year.
Dr Conrad Murray, the personal physician, who admitted to administering propofol to the late singer, will have to wait until 2010 to find out if he will be prosecuted for Jackson’s death, revealed an LAPD chief.
“A decision [on whether to prosecute] will be made in 2010. It is not going to be made this year,” said LAPD Commander Patrick Gannon.
Jackson’s death in June was ruled a homicide by the county coroner and lethal levels of the toxic anesthetic were discovered in his body.
Murray confessed that he gave Jackson a propofol shot at his bedside to help him sleep, but officials have to investigate if the doctor was solely responsible, and if his negligence was criminal.
South Korean star Rain recently had an interview with the Associated Press to talk about his new movie, ‘Ninja Assassin’. The 27-year old singer and actor, who plays Raizo, an orphan turned deadly assassin, said that he was inspired by Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan for his leading role in his first American film. Rain said “I hope the movie reaches the No. 1 at the box office but regardless of the numbers, it will open doors for more opportunities in Hollywood not only for myself but for other Asian actors.” The movie will hit theaters next Wednesday, November 25.
It looks like Shakira needs a little more attention these days. In a bid for more eyes to be on her for a change, Shakira decided to share with everybody how she believes she was born with the ability to belly-dance: “For me, it was, and is, more of a natural thing. It’s something that was practically given to me at birth, and for which I never had to train myself. These movements, they are inside me and I can call them back whenever I need them.” How wonderful that is! We have a superhero among us! Now Shakira can join the Pop League and use her amazing powers of belly-dancing, bestowed on her from birth mind you, to make the world a better place for the music industry!
The journalist who interviewed Adam Lambert for Out Magazine has released a statement detailing her part in what unfolded with the singer’s people. Part of the statement reads “I still wasn’t prepared for what happened when I showed up at the 19 Entertainment offices for the interview. I briefly met Adam, and then the publicist and I walked out to the balcony, at which point I was cautioned against making the interview “too gay,” or, “you know, gay-gay.” Specifically I was discouraged from asking about the March on Washington that upcoming weekend or other political topics.” It’s interesting to note though that the magazine’s editor and the journalist aren’t pointing any fingers at the American Idol alum directly but merely putting the ball in his court to see how he will respond. They’re basically calling him out to either be a figure for the gay community or just another cog in the mainstream music machine.
You would think it absurd that someone would get into a conflict with their dead brother’s estate, wouldn’t you? Well… what better family to portray the absurd than the Jacksons It looks like Janet Jackson’s new disc contains a lyric line that Michael Jackson’s estate finds to be too similar to a lyric line from his songs. The lyrics in question are Janet Jackson’s “Don’t stop ‘till you get it up” vs. Michael Jackson’s “Don’t stop ‘till you get enough”. Does Joe Jackson have anything to do with this? Or is it just the estate managers that are trying to find some sources of financing to pay off Michael Jackson’s debts… and maybe make a little on the side. Either way, it’s obscenity they should be suing Janet Jackson for, not copyrights… no, wait, there’s no such thing anymore.
Well, Adam Lambert has now made it pretty clear what side of the grid-iron he wants to play for. On the idea of a remake of Jesus Christ Superstar, Adam Lambert expressed his wants as to the part he should receive: “I heard they’re trying to do a remake of Jesus Christ Superstar and I want to play Judas. I’m going to start publicly campaigning for it. I think a movie would be really cool!” Whoah, whoah! Why Judas? Sure, he probably was a bit emo in his own way, but why doesn’t Adam Lambert go with somebody with a better reputation… why not Peter for example, or even Thomas.
Looks like somebody changed her mind really quick… must’ve been the weather, winter is not a good time to be going up north. It seems Carrie Underwood took the time to subtly rephrase the idea of her moving to Canada with her boyfriend, Mike Fisher. Here’s what Carrie Underwood said: “Call me old fashion, but the next guy I move in with will be my hubby. Who ever that is. I’m not saying it’s going to be him.” That must’ve broken Mike Fisher’s poor little heart… and it probably even hurt more than the teeth incidents he might have lived through as a hockey player. But still there is hope… come spring, Carrie Underwood may yet again have a sudden change of heart.
On the more “unhappy” relationship side of the news, Janet Jackson has recently confirmed her splitting up from Jermaine Dupri. This is what Janet Jackson said about her relationship with Jermaine Dupri: “I’m not the type of girl that stays in touch with your ex like that. But Jermaine is one of my best friends. I love him to death. We’re still connected. We’re still good friends. We still talk.” There we go! Happy, happy, joy, joy, right? Well, for Janet Jackson anyway, Jermaine Dupri probably isn’t that excited about “just being friends”… no matter how close they are. Oh well, you win some, you lose many.
