Cheryl Cole jumped up on stage and comforted sobbing contestant

An emotional Cheryl Cole jumped up on stage and comforted a sobbing contestant on Saturday night’s X-Factor.
Cheryl embraced 17-year-old Demi Cullum from Walsall when she burst into tears after being told she didn’t have a good enough voice.
Simon Cowell said: “The truth is, your voice isn’t good enough, sweetheart.” The Girls Aloud singer then hugged Demi and said: “I thought you were good.”
Meanwhile, 25-year-old Essex boy Olly Murs impressed the judges with his rendition of Stevie Wonder’s Superstition.
As did William Hooper, an 82-year-old pensioner who won over the judges with his plucky personality.
Simon Cowell was booed by the crowd for making fun of William’s age.
He rather cruelly said: “Right… where would you be in seven, actually I’ll shorten that, where would you be… I didn’t mean it like that. Where would you be in three or four years’ time?”
William won over Cheryl Cole though, who said: “You’re a showbiz man, I enjoyed your audition.”
