Mischa Barton assisted by LA police for ‘medical issue’
Los Angeles police were called to assist Mischa Barton with a “medical issue” on Tuesday afternoon, say reports.
Access Hollywood is claiming police had to respond to a non-911 call about 3pm at the O.C. star’s West Hollywood apartment.
A patrol car was the first on the scene, and police officers reportedly had to escort the 23-year-old actress from her home to an unknown location.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department has said it is “currently assisting” Barton and no one else is believed to have been involved in the incident.
So far, reps for Barton have been unavailable for comment.
Barton, who was recently pictured looking puffy in the face, was charged in February 2008 with four criminal counts relating to a DUI arrest that happened back in December 2007.
As well as being charged for driving while under the influence of alcohol, she was also cited for possessing marijuana.
In April 2008, Barton was sentenced by an LA court judge to 36 months’ probation, told to attend alcohol education classes and had to pay a hefty fine.
