Sacha Baron Cohen’s new film Bruno will be re-released with a 15-certificate, it has been revealed.

It is claimed studio chiefs decided to tone down the film after many fans were turned away from cinemas showing the controversial flick.

The move means the film will be the first to have two versions of it released at the same time.

The blockbuster film made an incredible £34.5million around the world on its opening weekend.

Film studio Universal Pictures will now cut out one minute and 50 seconds of clips from the film so that it can have a 15-certificate rating.

One scene in the film that was already cut out was when Bruno tried to get Michael Jackson’s phone number from his sister LaToya, out of respect for the Jackson family.

The new edited version will now be released on July 24.
