On the more bitter side of things, it looks like American Idol contestant Scott MacIntyre didn’t quite fit the bill last night. He gave up his piano and went for a guitar and chose Survivor’s “The Search is Over” to impress the judges and the audience… and he blew it. Apart from the fact that the song was thought to be a bad choice all around, only Kara actually liked the idea of Scott MacIntyre and a guitar. Simon Cowell suggested that Scott MacIntyre go back to the piano next week. That will probably happen unless somebody beats him to the elimination spot, because things don’t look good at all for him. But of course, there’s always the judges’ save option. Thank the high heavens for artificial means of prolonging the show!
