Kevin Federline’s lawyer wants Britney Spears to pay some of her ex-husband’s legal expenses in their divorce case, court documents show.

Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said in an Aug. 26 declaration that Federline has “no net income” after various expenses, and that his spousal support of $20,000 a month ends in November. Spears, meanwhile, brings in an average monthly income of $737,868.

Spears is “clearly the ‘monied party’” in the dispute and should pay $50,000 for Federline’s litigation expenses, Kaplan argued.

An after-hours message left Thursday with Spears’ attorney was not immediately returned.

Spears married Federline in October 2004, eight months after her first marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander was annulled. She cited irreconcilable differences when she filed for divorce from Federline on Nov. 7, 2006.

The couple’s divorce became official July 30.

Since February, Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, have shared custody of their sons, 23-month-old Sean Preston and 11-month-old Jayden James.

A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 17, but an attorney for Spears has requested a continuance until November.

She’s been wearing her alcohol monitoring device for a month, but Eve said she can’t get used to the hefty ankle bracelet.

“It’s the most annoying thing,” she told Tuesday night at Tao Nightclub in Las Vegas. “When they told me I was getting it on, I thought it was going to be like a beeper, but it’s like a pair of Bose headphones.”

The 29-year-old rapper was ordered to wear the Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor (SCRAM) after striking a plea agreement for her DUI arrest in April. Eve will be allowed to remove the device on Sept. 8.

At the Signature Apparel party for the Rocawear, Bellarock, and relaunch of Fetish, the SCRAM was hidden by her long, flowing pants.

Having to deal with a DUI in the public eye was “disgusting” enough, Eve said, but the hardest part: Telling her mom.

“I’m still scared of her … [I] had to tell her before someone else told her or she saw it or heard it.”

“I definitely learned my lesson,” she added. “It was a stupid situation, stupid decision. I did something dumb and now I’m paying for it … Don’t drink and drive kids.”

Reformed rockers the Smashing Pumpkins wowed the crowds at England’s Leeds estival this weekend before inviting fans to join them in the U.S for a cup of tea. The band took center stage for their first headlining slot for 12 years on Friday night and poked fun at the crowd by offering them a traditional English beverage. That’s the funny part but I am one of those persons who have been listening to the former bad boys of rock music and truly like their music. They were nominated for the Grammy Awards in the year 1997 but I have no idea whether they went on to win that category or not. Hopefully they are reformed to the core and do not indulge in coke and other drugs intake coz I’d really like them to go on for long and smash some pumpkins as well as some music records.

2007 American Idol runner up Blake Lewis has officially signed to 19 Recordings/Arista and is looking for a late year release of his debut album.
The record is titled “Audio Daydream”.

Kanye West has not been the same for a while. First, the rapper with the immensely large ego wrote a song which puts Jay-Z on a pedestal, now he’s saying really nice things about his white rival Justin Timberlake.

In the October issue of XXL magazine, Kanye says that “My biggest inspiration and biggest competition is Justin Timberlake. He’s the only other person that gets an across-the-board response and respect level – black radio, white radio. If Justin hadn’t come out and killed the game, I can’t say that my album, singles and videos would be on the same level that they’re on.”
He also says that he and Justin are like the Prince and Michael Jackson of today. There’s the ego we all know and love.

Maroon 5’s front man and resident playboy is denying that he made the crass comments about having sex with tennis player Maria Sharapova. The singer’s publicist, Dvora Englefield emailed celebrity blogger Perez Hilton and gave an exclusive statement.

“I represent Maroon 5 and wanted to let you know that the quote on your site [from the Russian newspaper] isn’t true. Adam never said this, and they only met once at Maria’s birthday party in 2004.”

And there we have it. Either way, it doesn’t really change my opinion of the guy. He’s a playboy through and through. It doesn’t matter if she wasn’t a good lay.

It may be one of the Hamptons’ hotter invites, but Diddy’s Labor Day party won’t light up the night quite as much as he envisioned.

East Hampton Town officials have turned down the hip-hop mogul’s plans for a $100,000 fireworks show over East Hampton’s Northwest Harbor on Sept. 2, out of concern that the spectacle could draw boaters to a risky, rocky area.

Town Supervisor William McGintee said Diddy’s extravaganza also might have conflicted with another fireworks show planned nearby that night.

Diddy had planned all-white pyrotechnics to match the event’s dress code, said Fireworks by Grucci Vice President Phil Butler.

The town did give Diddy a permit for his “white party,” a sought-after stop on the summer social scene since the late 1990s.

Representatives for Diddy didn’t immediately return phone messages left at their offices early Wednesday.

Diddy, 37, whose real name is Sean Combs, recently placed third in Forbes.com’s “Hip-Hop Cash Kings” rankings, which pegged his 2006 income at an estimated $28 million.

He has a clothing line, Sean John; heads Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group and its record label; and hosts MTV’s “Making the Band” series.

Foxy Brown is accused of lying to police during a traffic stop, the latest addition to the rapper’s legal woes, according to a published report.

Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was driving a sport utility vehicle on Wednesday when she was stopped for talking on a handheld cell phone and failing to stop at a stop sign, police told The Record of Bergen County.

After a check showed the SUV’s registration had been suspended, the 27-year-old rapper gave officers a variation of her real name and a date of birth that was a year off, authorities said.

When a search for the name she gave turned up no records, the officers asked her again for the information, and she gave her correct name and date of birth, authorities said.

The officers then learned that Brown’s license was suspended, and she was taken to police headquarters, where she was issued seven traffic tickets and released on her own recognizance.

She was told to appear in municipal court in Mahwah on Sept. 4.

Brown’s lawyer, John L. Sampson, did not immediately respond to requests for comment by The Associated Press on Monday night.

The traffic stop came a day after Brown was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a neighbor in New York City’s Brooklyn borough.

Police said that the two women got into a fight over the rapper blasting her car stereo and that, when they passed each other on the street a few days later, Brown hurled her BlackBerry device at the woman, cutting her lip and knocking a tooth loose.

Brown is already on probation after pleading guilty to assault in a 2004 dispute over paying for a manicure.

Beat master of the year, and probably of all time, Timbaland thinks that it would be a big no-no if Britney Spears performs at the MTV Video Music Awards on September 9th. Of course, the performance is still at the rumor stage, but it sometimes helps to voice your opinion.

The rapper/producer also happens to be the ‘Music Director’ of the VMAs and he says that he hasn’t heard of Brit making an appearance but if it were so, he thinks that it would be a bad idea. He told Access Hollywood that “I’m the maestro. If I don’t know nothing about it…could be, hope not. I don’t know, I don’t know nothing about it. Wooh, that would be a headache.”

True or not, I’m still betting that Britney will flake.

The former front woman of The Pussycat Dolls gave a smashing performance of her new single ‘Whatever U Like’ on the finale of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. If only I could say the same about her video.

The video is totally going to screw with her solo debut. It’s uninspired, stale and a rip-off of Beyonce’s ‘Ring the Alarm’, which was a rip-off of ‘Basic Instinct’ and so many other things. It’s already recycled material, why use it again and again?

I had such high hopes for her too. Anyway, her debut album ‘Her Name is Nicole’ will be out in stores on November 16.

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks has signed to Britney Spears’ record label Jive. The teenager – the TV talent show’s youngest winner ever – has become the first Idol winner to join the label. Her first single, Tattoo, will be released at the end of August, and her debut album is slated for a November release. This truly that all the winners and others who didn’t manage to win but have the talent to create a new music platform should met with this fate. There is some amazing talent out there in the world that wants to perform and sing a better tune than the current crop of singers and rappers do. We need a new lease of life for the music industry and a new set of celebs that can show that we as human beings have not lost our foundation as it seen today. Surely if she can keep her poise and maintain the good work done in winning the contest, she can become a household name and may be a bigger star than Britney Spears.

Pop star Pink is facing legal action over a painting featured in the music video for her hit song U + Ur Hand, after the New York artist, who created the artwork, accused her of copyright infringement. Painter Vladimir Kush claims Pink – real name Alecia Moore – used reproduced images from his work Countes Erotiques in her 2006 single promo without his permission. So if she used them in her promos in 2006 then why is he crying foul almost when a year has gone by? Like don’t tell me waited all this time at first creating those art works, then when the single was released he saw it for the first time probably and let it become a hit, then he sent a congratulatory message to Pink and then finally it hit him that the promos were carrying his creations. If he managed to sleep that long, then he might as well consider continuing to sleep a little longer till then the single could turn platinum and he could then sue for a higher amount.

Macy Gray debuted her new ‘Natalie Hinds’ collection at an event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida on Monday. When someone launches a fashion line, you would expect someone with great fashion sense who you can take seriously. But instead of that, Macy looked ready to clean house.

Her outfit is fine if you’re just out to run errands, cleaning house or just vegging out. It’s not alright to work the red carpet. Well, she can work the red carpet by vacuuming it. I think she was channeling Florence from ‘The Jeffersons’.

Let’s hope her fashion line is far different from what she’s wearing.

The soul man has got one less trustee. James Brown’s will is under intense scrutiny because of the many people contesting it or claiming something or the other. The strange battle over the will continued on with the surprise revelation that one of his trustee’s had misappropriated $350,000 of the singer’s money.

The trustee has since handed over a check for the full amount of the missing money before resigning from his position as trustee and co-executor of the will.

Brown died this past Christmas. He lived on a $100,000 a month allowance, and not many people are sure of how much money is left in his estate.

It would be ironic if everyone would be fighting for a dollar now.

Kanye West has been arrogant and sexually confident since he was 12, according to his mother. Donda West has written Raising Kanye – Life Lessons From The Mother of A Hip-Hop Superstar, about her experiences with the rapper. Sexually confident at the age of 12, he might have had penis enlargement at the age of 11 and had a year of personality development class to be sexually confident at that age. As soon as he got sexually CONFIDENT he must have also told his momma that hey look I can also be a big mouth rapper, to that his momma might have felt – oh my kid, he is a confident big mouth rapper, I need to tell the world about this. Infact, it’s his mom that keeps making these comments all the time and why not. Since she’s spent so much on making him a spoilt brat she wants to get the credit as well, even though she does not deserve a mention. May be she could have consulted Kanye West’s reps or some Public Relations agency before going out and speaking utter non-sense showing that the star’s mom is no better that him and both are short on brain cells.

I wouldn’t have pegged Ashlee Simpson as the stinker girlfriend who is jealous and protective, but I also never thought Britney Spears would end up as a chain-smoking hoochie with two babies, no hubby and no career. You can never predict what’s going to happen with celebrities! So people are saying Ashlee doesn’t like it when Pete talks to other chicks… even if they are just fans he is only going to meet once. What a bia! Well babes, let me tell you one thing if you ain’t learnt it as yet. If you try and keep a man under the wraps, he could be sneaking on you this very moment and if he is a baby then he’ll be happy in your arms and cuddle there all day. Maybe that’s why Ashlee and Pete broke up in the first place? Maybe Ashlee was too much of a jealous brat? I could see Jessica Simpson being that way, too. Make him feel your importance in his life or may he just doesn’t deserve you but stop making him looking stupid in the crowds just because u love him or his…?

Folk legend Linda Thompson has written a song about Pete Doherty.

The singer wrote a tune entitled “Babyshambles” for her forthcoming album Versatile Heart.

Speaking about the song, she told Entertainment Weekly: “Yeah, I did, a song called ‘Babyshambles.’ I think it’s going on some Japanese version of the album. I find him quite touching. He gets a rotten rap. ”

“I worked with him on a TV show and we hung out a bit,” she added. “He’s not terribly well. He’s very talented. I think that talent is quickly being dissipated. It’s not going to be there much longer, probably. But you never know. He did enough good stuff with the Libertines to give him a stab at being remembered.”

Thompson added: “And he’s very beautiful. He’s a real quintessential rock ‘n’ roll tragedy case. I feel for him. Everyone keeps saying Kate Moss should get rid of him. I think he should get rid of her.”

The album is set to be released in the U.K. on August 15.
