JLo Wants to Turn Puerto Rico A-List
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are planning to turn Fajardo, a city in Puerto Rico, into the Hollywood of the Caribbean. The couple of singers and actors, who are both of Puerto Rican descent, want to build a movie studio there to attract more A-list movies and TV shows to the island. They plan to build a state of the art soundstage so that major American film companies will be motivated to more their production there. JLo and Marc have even met with the city’s mayor Anibal Melendez about the project. We all know how JLo’s recent movies have been flops and how long it’s been since she and Marc made any good music. Is this their way of finding success again?

Taylor Swift’s New Man
Taylor Swift was recently spotted around Maine with British actor Toby Hemingway, who happens to be the male lead in her latest music video for her song ‘Mine’. The video premiered last week during CMT’s live special, to which Toby accompanied the country singer to. When her rep was prodded about a blossoming romance between the two, she said “We don’t comment on Taylor’s personal life.” I’ll take that as a yes. You don’t hang out with someone for long periods of time or accompany them to special events unless there was something there. I think Taylor and Toby make a cute couple.

Lady Gaga – “Living On the Radio” New Song Video

Lady Gaga -‘Living On The Radio’ Lyrics
I’ve got no friends
I’m my own queen
But I’m living on, living on the the radio
That’s my dream
Stone river eyes
And a lonely heart
If I’m living on the radio
They won’t tear me apart
10 steps and roses on the tree
10 steps and lonely nights
But you’ve still got me
On the road
Road paved in gold
Baby you must believe
Baby you must be free
Keep living on, living on the radio
That’s my dream
Baby you’ve gotta friend
And so many little monsters, yeah
Keep living on, living on the radio
That’s your dream
And when there’s nowhere to go
And your friends are gone
And you only got your daddy to call
It will be all right, honey
‘Cause your songs are on the radio
‘Cause the showbiz, all the caviar
The champagne and the sold out shows
But it will be all right honey
‘Cause your songs are on the radio

Susan Boyle to Sing for Pope
Susan Boyle has received the tremendous honor of performing for Pope Benedict XVI during his trip to Scotland next month. The singer will sing three songs at the Bellahouston Park in Glasgow on September 16, including the hymn ‘How Great Thou Art’ and ‘I Dreamed a Dream’. A choir will also accompany Susan’s performance. The YouTube sensation spoke about her big gig, saying “To be able to sing for the pope is a great honor and something I’ve always dreamed of — it’s indescribable. I think the 16th of September will stand out in my memory as something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve always wanted to sing for His Holiness and I can’t really put into words my happiness that this wish has come true at last.”

Britney Spears Likely to Return to Glee
Ryan Murphy recently revealed that Britney Spears is likely to make a return to ‘Glee’. When confronted with the idea that the pop singer was coming back, the show’s creator said “Probably, yeah… probably. Britney came this week and shot, and I got to hang out with Britney. She was sweet, she was great. I’m now best friends with Britney apparently.” It makes me more intrigued about that episode that she will be on. If Ryan’s already thinking about making her come back on the show, it means that Britney’s episode is a great one and that he would like to harness that magic again.

Brandy Lawsuit
DJ Marc Mysterio has filed a lawsuit against Brandy for backing out of a deal to write and sing 32 bars of music on a track of his, even though he had already paid the washed up R&B singer $10,000. The DJ claims that he has somehow lost over $25,000 because of her. I think he’s just getting greedy. But the extra $15,000 could be because he booked some studio time in advance, hoping that Brandy follows through on the deal. This is why you don’t ask a has-been to contribute to your music. They may be desperate for a job but if you pay them upfront, it’s a risk you’re taking.
Michael Jackson Lawsuit Dismissed
A judge recently dismissed a $300 million lawsuit that had been filed against Michael Jackson. A federal judge in New York dismissed the lawsuit filed by AllGood Entertainment, claiming that the late singer had agreed through an agent to perform several Jackson family reunion concerts in Indiana before going on the road with another show. They claim that by agreeing to the London concerts, the King of Pop breached his agreement with them. The judge ruled that Michael’s agent Frank Dileo struck the deal in principle and couldn’t become binding without the sign-offs of Michael and his brothers. The judge also said that the deal was too sketchy to be enforceable.

New U2 Sound
In a recently interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Bono announced that he and his band U2 are working on a new sound for their next album and described it as “club-sounding”. I wonder if they can stand up to the music of Lady Gaga and Britney Spears at the clubs. It will definitely be something different. I just hope their different is the good kind. The singer didn’t elaborate past that, explaining that the band is also working on releasing a new rock album, while they gear up for their tour and he and The Edge finish up scoring the Spider Man musical.
Taylor Swift Cover Art Revealed
The album cover for Taylor Swift’s new record ‘Speak Now’, which hits shelves on October 25, has been revealed and the country singer is nothing short of gorgeous on it. It definitely speaks on how big a fairytale her whole career has been. This isn’t the only treat we have from Taylor though. A couple of weeks ago, the 20-year old cutie released her first single from the album called ‘Mine’ and the music video will premiere this Friday, August 27, so stay tuned for that. The song debuted at the top spot of Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs Chart and #3 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
